July 17, 2026 Product Updates: The Full Retouching Workflow, Verified Competitor Activity, and Report Exports

The complete retouching workflow is live in Image Studio — request, review, revise, approve — plus verified Competitor Activity briefings with Copy summary, PDF, and Word exports.

The retouching story we have been building since late June is now complete: this week the full post-production workflow shipped to production — request, review, revise, approve — with professional retouchers on the other end. We also hardened Competitor Activity so every headline links to a verified live source, and made those briefings easy to share as exports. Here is what's new.

Image Studio

The full retouching workflow is live

Editing now starts from one unified Edit Image action: describe the change you want, mark the areas directly on the image, and choose an AI edit or a professional retoucher — all from the same place. The edit modal itself was redesigned along the way: a dark frame around a light canvas, collapsible tool panels, and reference-image support so you can show, not just tell.

The request workflow we previewed in recent updates is now live end to end. Your brand's requests appear in a request list with status chips under an All open view. Deliveries arrive in rounds — often with multiple options — with before/after comparison, revision marks for anything that needs another pass, and ratings on completed work. Delivery rounds are uncapped, so you can keep going until it's right.

You get an email when your request is submitted and whenever a revision lands. Completed work shows up in your brand's shared Retouched folder with the same QuickLook preview as My Files, requests are scoped per brand so you only see your own brand's activity, and credits usage for post-production tasks is visible in the Credits table. One housekeeping note: the standalone Search & Replace tool has been retired — the unified Edit flow covers the same use cases.

Home & Brand Pulse

Competitor Activity you can trust and share

Every headline in Competitor Activity is now validated against a live source before it ships. If a source can't be verified, the item is dropped rather than shown — and a quiet week for a competitor produces an honest, thin briefing instead of padded content. Each briefing also includes a three-sentence executive summary built only from verified headlines.

The reports look better and travel further: larger competitor logos, article preview images, and new Copy summary, PDF, and Word export actions so you can drop a digest into Slack, email, or a deck. And if you haven't connected LinkedIn yet, Brand Pulse now defaults to Competitor Activity so the surface is never empty.

Design & theming

The Daybreak visual refresh from our July 10 update now applies consistently across secondary surfaces: the notification bell, the help icon, the asset library, file-system views, the sidebar, and the image download modal all follow the current theme instead of falling back to hardcoded light-theme colors.

Also in this release (smaller improvements & fixes)

  • Very large reference images no longer fail generation — they are prepared automatically behind the scenes, and your original file is never modified
  • The workspace Connect account button now opens the Brand DNA connectors step, where accounts are actually linked
  • Facebook and Instagram account labels no longer error when the platform omits a name
  • The What's New popup no longer re-prompts after being closed
