May 2026 Product Updates: Image Quality and a Better Studio

May was largely about images: making them better, and making the Studio easier to use.

We shipped five separate rounds of image generation quality improvements throughout the month, alongside a meaningful UX overhaul for the Image Studio workspace. If you’ve been investing time in your brand intelligence — setting up ProductDNA™, uploading products, selecting a visual style — this is the month that investment pays off more consistently.

Image Generation Quality: Better Results from Brand Intelligence

Image generation output quality improved across five successive releases in May — particularly for briefs that include brand intelligence inputs like CustomerDNA™, ProductDNA™, or a saved visual style.

The practical changes: generated images that use brand context are more coherent, more calibrated to the specifics of the brief, and less likely to default to generic AI outputs. We also increased output variety, so generating multiple images from the same brief now produces meaningfully different options rather than near-duplicates — which means less time regenerating and more useful choices.

The improvement is most pronounced for users who have built out their brand intelligence. If your DNA is populated, the delta should be noticeable.

Image Studio: Attachments Tray, Start Over, and Persistent Width

The Image Studio also received a set of UX improvements this month focused on clarity and continuity.

Attachments tray. When you attach products, reference images, or files to a generation brief, a new tray now appears below the composer showing exactly what’s attached — with thumbnails and easy remove controls. Before this, attached context was invisible once added, making it easy to lose track of what was in play or accidentally carry over the wrong references from a previous session. The tray makes your generation context explicit and editable at a glance.

Start Over button. A clear button in the composer now resets the entire brief in one click — clearing attached products, reference images, style selections, persona settings, and all form values. Previously, clearing a brief required hunting through each section individually. This is particularly useful when switching between very different generation tasks in the same session.

Persistent panel width. The brief column width is now saved per browser. If you prefer a wider or narrower brief panel, you set it once and it’s restored automatically on your next visit.

Product image grid. When viewing a product’s images from within the Studio, the thumbnail display now uses a responsive multi-row grid instead of a horizontal scroll strip. For products with large image sets, this replaces the left-and-right scrolling that made it hard to find the right reference image quickly.

Also in this release (smaller improvements & fixes)

• Brief panel width persistence. The brief panel width now saves per browser and restores automatically — no more resizing at the start of every session.
• Pill remove animations. The remove animations in brief form sections are calmer and less distracting.
• Section header and settings popover layout. Minor visual hierarchy improvements to Studio header and settings areas.
