September 8, 2026 Product Updates: A New Apps Hub, Scheduled Playbooks, and Slack in Agents
Navigate MorningAI more easily with the new Apps experience, schedule Playbooks to run automatically, and bring Slack conversations into your Agent workflow.
This week, we reorganized some of the main places you work in MorningAI, made Agents easier to direct and follow, added scheduling to Playbooks, and brought Slack into the Agent workflow.
We also cleaned up a number of smaller issues across analytics, image and video workflows, and Done-for-You.
Here’s what changed.
Workspace
New Apps and easier navigation
We reorganized the main MorningAI navigation to make the areas you use most easier to reach.
A new Apps area now brings common creation tools together in one place, including documents, ads, blog posts, and social content.
A few other things changed along with it:
- Agent is now Agents
- Studio now opens directly into the Image & Video workspace, instead of sending you through a separate tool gallery first
- The + menu is organized around Agents, Studio, Apps, and Playbooks, so you can jump directly into the type of work you want to start
So if you already know you want to create a social post, make an image, run a Playbook, or start working with an Agent, there are fewer steps between opening MorningAI and getting there.
Agents
More control and visibility
We made it easier to tell Agents what context to use, follow what they are doing, and adjust your request when you need to.
- You can now use @ mentions directly in the composer to bring things like connectors, products, personas, styles, and output formats into a request.
- Type / to insert a Playbook without leaving the conversation.
For example, you could ask an Agent to create a campaign recap while pulling in the right product, connected source, and output format from the same request.
For work that takes multiple steps:
- You can see a visible plan and progress checklist as the Agent works
- If the Agent needs more information, it can stop and ask you a follow-up question instead of guessing
- You can edit a message you already sent and move between different versions of that turn
Replies that use web research can also show their sources directly beneath the response.
Playbooks

Schedule Playbooks to run for you
Playbooks can now run on a recurring schedule, so you do not have to manually start the same workflow every time.
You can:
- schedule a Playbook daily, weekly, or monthly
- choose the time and timezone
- provide the information the Playbook needs before it runs
- see upcoming and completed runs in Calendar
- open a run in Agents to see what happened and continue the work
For example, you could schedule a weekly competitive summary, recurring content workflow, or reporting Playbook and have it run without starting from scratch each time.
Integrations
Bring Slack into your Agent workflow
MorningAI Agents can now work with context from connected Slack conversations.
Once Slack is connected, you can ask an Agent questions based on conversations you already have access to, for example:
- What did we decide in this channel?
- What feedback did the team share about the campaign?
- What changed since last week?
That could mean catching up on a customer channel before a meeting, pulling together feedback from a campaign discussion, or getting a quick summary of what happened while you were away.
Agents can also help you send messages directly to Slack from MorningAI. You can send a message right away or schedule it to go out later.
Also in this release
We also shipped a number of smaller fixes and reliability improvements this week:
- LinkedIn analytics: Fixed issues affecting image and video post metrics, duplicate posts, and Post Analytics loading
- Done-for-You: Restored post generation after some requests stopped producing content
- Images: Fixed several issues affecting enlarged image views, zoom, aspect ratio changes, upscale, and reference-image workflows
- Video publishing: Fixed an issue that could prevent generated videos from publishing when captions were created
- Generation errors: Improved error messages so you can see a more useful reason when an image or video request fails
