PDF and PowerPoint files open in an in-product editor, so the deck an agent just built — or any PDF or deck in your file library — can get its finishing touches without leaving MorningAI. Your edits autosave to a draft; the original file is never overwritten.
Why the File Editor Matters
The last mile of most decks is small: fix a number, tighten a headline, reorder a phrase. Before the File Editor, that meant downloading, opening another app, and re-uploading. Now the documents agents generate and the files your team uploads are editable where they already live.
Three Ways to Open a File in the Editor
- From the file manager — right-click a PDF or PowerPoint file (or open its context menu) and choose Open in Editor.
- From the file preview modal — when you're previewing a file, use Open in Editor to switch from viewing to editing.
- From a chat file preview — when an agent generates a PDF or deck in a conversation, open its preview and jump straight into the editor from there.
What You Can Do Inside
- Edit the content — make your changes with the editing toolbar, with full undo and redo.
- Navigate with the slide rail — multi-page files and decks show a rail of thumbnails so you can jump to any slide or page.
- Present fullscreen — switch to presentation mode to run through a deck without leaving the product.
- Download — export your edited version as a PDF or as PNG images.
Your Original File Is Safe
Edits autosave continuously to a draft. The file you opened is never modified — if you want to get back to the original, it's exactly where you left it. Watch for the saved indicator in the editor to confirm your latest change is captured.
Current Limits
- No PowerPoint-format download yet. If you edit a .pptx, you can download the result as PDF or PNG — not as a new .pptx file.
- No "Save a copy" yet. Your edits live in the editor's autosaved draft; use download to take a version out.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which file types open in the editor? PDF and PowerPoint files. Other formats (Word documents, spreadsheets, HTML, Markdown, SVG) preview in-app but don't open in the editor.
Can I edit a file an agent just generated in chat? Yes — open the file's preview from the conversation and enter the editor from there, or find the file in your library and use Open in Editor.
Do I lose the agent's version when I edit? No. Edits are saved to a draft; the generated original stays untouched in your library.
Next Steps
Ask an agent to generate a deck from your latest campaign data, then open it in the File Editor and make it meeting-ready.
