August 7, 2026 Product Updates: Edit PDFs and Decks Without Leaving MorningAI

Open a PowerPoint and edit it right inside MorningAI - then present fullscreen or download as PDF or PNG. Plus a smarter playbook flow on Home.

This week we shipped a document editor built right into MorningAI. Open a PowerPoint deck - one you uploaded or one an agent made for you - edit it, present it fullscreen, and download the result, all without leaving the product. Here's everything that shipped in the week ending August 7.

Files & Documents

Edit PDFs and Decks in MorningAI

You can now open a PDF or PowerPoint (PPTX) file stored in MorningAI and edit it in a dedicated document editor — no downloading the file, no jumping to another tool. It works on files you've uploaded and on documents your agents generate, so a deck an agent drafted in a conversation is one click away from your own edits.

There are several ways in: right-click a PDF or PPTX in the file manager and choose Open in Editor, hit the pen button in the header of any file preview, or use the Edit button on the file card when an agent produces a document in a conversation. Documents also show up in Recent Work on the home page and reopen in the editor from there.

Inside, you get a slide rail with page thumbnails for multi-page documents and a full editing toolbar — text, images, shapes, and styling. Edits are autosaved as you go: close the editor and reopen it later, and you'll pick up exactly where you left off. Undo/redo and keyboard shortcuts work the way you'd expect. Present Fullscreen

When the deck is ready, present it without leaving the editor. Full-screen presentation mode shows your slides one at a time, with previous and next controls that fade away while you're idle — so your audience sees the work, not the controls.

Download as PDF or PNG

A Download menu in the editor exports your document as a PDF or as PNG images — handy when you need to attach the finished piece to an email or drop a single slide into a post. For a full walkthrough, see editing PDFs and decks with the file editor.

Limitations & expectations

  • Downloads from the editor are PDF and PNG today — there's no PowerPoint (.pptx) download yet. If you edit a PPTX, the file you download back is a PDF, not a deck.
  • There's no separate "save a copy" action yet — your edits live with the document via autosave.
  • The Download menu only shows formats that are actually available, so you won't hit dead ends.

Also in this release (smaller improvements & fixes)

  • Images and videos you upload while publishing a post (including the quick-create flow) are now also saved to your brand's Asset Library, so you can reuse them without re-uploading.
