Creating a LinkedIn Post

Post to your LinkedIn organization page directly from MorningAI: write or generate a caption, attach visuals, preview the LinkedIn feed look, and publish or schedule. Currently supports organization pages, not personal profiles.

Create a LinkedIn post for your company page in MorningAI by writing (or generating) a caption, attaching visuals, previewing the LinkedIn feed look, and publishing or scheduling — directly from the platform.

Before You Start — Organization Pages Only

The current LinkedIn integration posts to organization pages (your company page), not personal profiles. If you want to publish from a personal LinkedIn profile, that's not supported by this connector today.

Connect through Settings → Connectors. You'll need admin or manager rights on the LinkedIn organization page you want to post to. See Connecting Your Social Accounts for the OAuth walkthrough.

Two Ways to Start a Post

Same flow as the rest of the platform: Hype Writer with the LinkedIn post use case, or Calendar Quick Create. Both routes land in the same Publish Flow.

Inside the Publish Flow

The LinkedIn preview mimics the LinkedIn feed. You'll see:

  • Suggested Caption with inline editor.
  • Filmstrip of attached images.
  • Pills for each connected platform — toggle LinkedIn on.
  • Organization page selector (if you admin multiple, confirm the right one).
  • Schedule picker.

Writing for LinkedIn

  • The first 2 lines decide everything. LinkedIn collapses the post after ~210 characters with a "see more" — your hook lives there.
  • LinkedIn rewards stories, not announcements. Open with a hook ("Here's what we learned…"), then deliver, then end with a question.
  • Use the Expand chip to turn a one-liner into a 3-paragraph LinkedIn post.
  • Add an image. Even a simple branded card lifts engagement on LinkedIn meaningfully.
  • Don't keyword-stuff. Hashtags work on LinkedIn but 2–3 are plenty.
  • Schedule for Tuesday–Thursday mornings if your audience is enterprise. Or whenever your LinkedIn analytics say your audience is online.

Using AI to Expand a One-Liner

LinkedIn posts work best when they read like a short story or a tight argument. If you've only got the kernel — "We launched a new feature today and the team is exhausted but proud" — click "Write alternative caption" and use the Expand chip. The AI builds out the arc into something readable, you tighten the wording, and you're ready to publish.

The same AI refiner powers Facebook and Instagram rewrites — there's no per-platform "Rewrite for LinkedIn" button. Tone is set by your instruction or chip, not by the platform.

Publish Now or Schedule

Same controls as the rest of the Publish Flow. Schedule for B2B prime time (Tuesday–Thursday mornings) if your audience is enterprise.

Cross-Posting

Toggle Facebook and Instagram alongside LinkedIn. The same story rarely works verbatim on all three — use the per-platform caption customization to give each platform its own voice. LinkedIn long, Instagram short, Facebook somewhere in between.

Limits and Gotchas

  • Caption: up to 3,000 characters. The publish modal blocks publish if exceeded.
  • Organization pages only. Personal profile posting is not supported via this connector today.
  • You must have admin/manager rights on the organization page. Pages where you're only a content viewer won't appear in the page selector.

Troubleshooting

My organization page isn't showing up.

You likely don't have admin or manager rights on it. Confirm your role in LinkedIn's page settings, then disconnect and reconnect to refresh.

Caption exceeds LinkedIn character limit.

Trim to 3,000 characters or fewer. Long posts often benefit from tightening anyway.

FAQ

Can I post to my personal LinkedIn profile?

Not through the current connector — organization pages only.

Does LinkedIn publishing support video?

Yes — attach a video file generated in Video Creation through the Publish Flow.

Can I post LinkedIn articles (long-form)?

LinkedIn articles are a separate format from feed posts. The current connector publishes feed posts.
