Native X (Twitter) publishing isn't part of MorningAI yet. Until it ships, this guide shows you how to use MorningAI to create X-ready content and post it manually through X.
X is not currently a publishing destination in MorningAI. There's no Connect X button in Settings → Connectors, no X preview in the Publish Flow, and Done For You does not generate X posts. We're being explicit about this because the workaround works well — but only if you know what to expect.
What You Can Do Today
Use MorningAI for the create side of the workflow. Draft your X post in Hype Writer, generate the visual in Image Studio or Video Creation, then post manually through X.
The Manual Workflow
Step 1 — Draft your post in Hype Writer
Open Hype Writer, pick a use case that produces short-form copy (a social post works well), and ask the brief for a tweet-length version. The brief inherits your Brand DNA, Product DNA, and Customer DNA the same way it does for any post — your voice carries even though the publishing endpoint doesn't.
Step 2 — Refine length
In the editor, trim to fit X's limits: 280 characters for free and Basic accounts, 25,000 characters for X Premium long-form posts. If you don't know which your audience is on, assume 280 — you'll write tighter copy and it'll never be too long.
Step 3 — Generate the visual
In Image Studio or Video Creation, generate at the right aspect ratio for X. 16:9 for video usually works best. 1:1 or 16:9 for images. Pull from Product DNA if a product is the subject — your real packshots become the visual base.
Step 4 — Download
On the output card, click Download. Images come down as PNG, videos as MP4. Save them somewhere you can grab on the device you tweet from.
Step 5 — Post manually through X
Open X, paste the caption, attach the asset, and publish or schedule through X's native tools. The MorningAI output is the source of truth in your File System; the publish action happens outside.
What This Means for Done For You
Done For You does not generate X posts. If you expected DFY to fill an X queue alongside Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn — that's a misunderstanding worth correcting up front. DFY currently runs on three channels.
What You Won't See in the Product
- No X / Twitter row in Settings → Connectors.
- No X preview in the Publish Flow modal.
- No X channel in Done For You.
- No X-specific notifications or toasts.
You may notice some legacy `twitter` strings in error messages or internal types. Ignore them — they don't connect to a real publishing path.
When X Publishing Ships
Native X publishing is on the roadmap. When it lands, this article gets rewritten to look like the Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn guides — connector setup, Publish Flow walkthrough, the whole shape.
Until then, the manual workflow above is the supported path. Treat it as a hand-off step in an otherwise MorningAI-native workflow, not as a workaround you're fighting against the platform to do.
FAQ
Why isn't X supported?
Engineering hasn't shipped that integration yet. It's on the roadmap; we don't have a date to share publicly.
Can I schedule X posts from MorningAI?
No. Scheduling, like publishing, happens through X's native tools for now.
Can MorningAI generate X-style threads?
Hype Writer can produce a multi-tweet thread structure as text. You'd still post each tweet manually through X to assemble the thread.
