Done For You: Autonomous Social Media

Done For You is MorningAI's autonomous content engine — it researches, writes, and generates a week or month of social posts on the cadence you set. You stay in control of when each one publishes. The advanced view of personalization, cadence, and the inputs that make it great.

Done For You is MorningAI's autonomous content engine. On a schedule you set, it researches what to post, writes the copy, generates the image, and prepares the captions — so you walk into the platform with finished social posts waiting for review.

Important: Done For You autonomously creates your social content — captions, copy, and images — on the schedule you choose. You stay in control of when each post goes live. MorningAI does not silently auto-publish to social networks.

That distinction matters. The autonomy is in the creation, not the publishing. Every post lands in your queue for review, edit, schedule, or skip — through the same Publish Flow you'd use for any post.

The Four-Step Lifecycle

Step 1 — Personalize

On the home screen, find the "Done for You" section and click Personalize. You'll set:

  • Channels — Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn (one or more).
  • Frequency — Daily, Weekly, or Monthly.
  • Volume — between 1 and 15 posts per period.
  • Content Types — pick from defaults or add your own.
  • Advanced — toggle Ultra Mode (premium-quality images, 2× credits) and pick a Visual Style.

Step 2 — MorningAI creates content in the background

On your chosen cadence, the platform:

  1. Generates a strategic brief for each post (informed by your brand description, target audience, and slogan).
  2. Picks a product from your Product DNA based on relevance and Priority.
  3. Writes the post using the right template for the channel.
  4. Generates the preview image.
  5. Writes the captions.

Step 3 — You get notified

An in-app notification appears: "Done For You Content Generated Successfully." An email lands with a subject like "Made For You: 5 New Social Media Posts for This Week." Late Sunday emails are deferred to Monday morning so they arrive at the start of the work week.

Step 4 — You review and publish

Open Done For You content from the home screen or the File System → Done For You view. Edit anything. Use the Publish Flow to schedule per platform or post immediately.

The 5-Thing Checklist That Makes Done For You Great

The single biggest predictor of Done For You quality is what you put into MorningAI before the engine runs. The platform can't invent context that isn't there.

  1. Complete Brand Setup — description, slogan, target audience, tone, website URL.
  2. Build out Product DNA with multiple images per product and accurate Priority + Availability.
  3. Build at least 2–3 Customer DNA personas.
  4. Set Visual Guidelines in Brand Setup — these drive Done For You imagery.
  5. Pick a Visual Style in the Advanced tab for consistent look.

If your DFY output feels generic, walk this list backwards. Almost always, the fix is one of these five things, not a DFY setting.

Cadence — Daily, Weekly, or Monthly

Frequency × Volume defines what arrives each period:

  • Daily + 5 = 5 posts each day.
  • Weekly + 10 = 10 posts each week (the AI distributes the topic mix across the week).
  • Monthly + 15 = 15 posts ready at the start of the month.

The platform tops up to your chosen volume each period. If you already have 3 posts this week and your target is 5, it generates 2 more next time it runs. It will not overshoot your number.

Cadence guidance:

  • Daily is best for high-velocity ecommerce brands with deep Product DNA.
  • Weekly is the sweet spot for most brands.
  • Monthly works well for B2B / considered-purchase brands.

Custom Content Types

Beyond the defaults, you can add your own content type strings — "Behind-the-scenes," "Customer testimonial," "Founder POV," "How-it's-made." These guide the brief generator and shape what the AI tries on a given run.

Use Custom Content Types to teach the platform your editorial mix. If half your real social calendar is product education and a quarter is community, set up content types that reflect that — don't accept the defaults if they don't match what you actually post.

Ultra Mode for Done For You

The Advanced tab includes Ultra Mode (Premium). Same upgrade as Image Studio's ULTRA — more variants, AI quality review, top picks shown. Costs 2× image credits per generated image, applied across the whole DFY batch.

Recommended when image quality matters more than credit conservation. If you have a custom-trained brand visual style, test both with and without ULTRA. ULTRA changes the image pipeline and some custom styles behave differently.

Smart Product Selection — Why Product DNA Matters

For each post, the platform looks at: post topic relevance, audience fit, product Priority, available product images, and "content potential," then picks one product to feature.

A Priority 5 hero product surfaces more than a Priority 1 archive product. Seasonal items only show in season. Products with more images appear more often, because the platform also rotates imagery to keep the feed visually varied.

Practical implication: Product DNA quality directly drives Done For You quality. If posts feature the wrong product, the answer is in Product DNA — not in DFY.

The Monday Review Workflow

Block 15 minutes every Monday to review the week's posts. The discipline matters more than the time.

  1. Open the home screen Done For You section.
  2. Click each post — read the caption, scan the image.
  3. Edit lightly. The goal is your voice, not perfection.
  4. Use the Publish Flow to schedule everything at once, not post-by-post.

It's much easier to react to good content than to start from zero. That's the real win of Done For You — the blank canvas is gone.

Connecting Your Social Accounts

Generation does not require connected social accounts, but publishing does. Connect Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn through Settings → Connectors before your first publish run. (Each platform has its own quirks — Instagram needs a business account linked to a Facebook page, LinkedIn currently posts to organization pages only. The Connecting Your Social Accounts companion article walks through each one.)

Limits and Gotchas

  • Requires an active subscription that includes Done For You.
  • Channels currently supported: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn. TikTok, X, YouTube, Pinterest, and Threads are not Done For You channels at this time.
  • 1–15 posts per period (per brand).
  • Ultra Mode uses 2× image credits per generation.
  • Generation is autonomous; publishing is not. Always restate this.
  • The home screen Done for You section only appears once you have at least one piece of generated content — new users may need to wait for the first batch.
  • If you turn Done For You off mid-cycle, in-progress posts may already be created.
  • Done For You is currently in Beta — look for the badge on the home screen card.

FAQ

Will it post automatically?

No. Done For You creates posts; you review and publish (or schedule) them. The platform never publishes to a social network without your action.

What if I want fewer posts?

Open Personalize and lower the Volume. The change applies to the next generation cycle. Anything already created stays in your queue until you publish or delete it.

Can I edit posts before publishing?

Yes — every post is fully editable in the Publish Flow. Caption, image, schedule, target page. Treat the AI output as a sharp first draft, not the final word.

What channels are supported?

Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Other channels you may see elsewhere in the platform are not yet available as Done For You channels.
