Inserting an image in MorningAI should not mean stopping what you were doing and hunting through folders. The Insert Image experience is a library-style modal you can open from Studio, publish, and other editor flows — with a rail for collections, products, logos, Unsplash, upload, and a multi-select tray so mixed picks insert together.
How to open the Insert Image modal
You can open the modal from surfaces such as:
- The Insert Image control in Studio or the publish composer
- Right-click on a canvas slot and choose Insert Image
- The / menu in rich text fields that support images
- Dragging a file onto a canvas (opens at Upload with that file ready)
Library rail and sources
The redesigned modal uses a left rail / toolbar to move between sources:
- Collections — campaign and project groupings from your library
- Products — product imagery tied to your catalog
- Logos — brand logos, including assets sourced from BrandDNA (shown with a BrandDNA provenance chip and pinned in the Logos tab)
- Unsplash — stock search for supporting imagery
- Upload — files from your computer; multiple files supported
Selected items collect in a shared tray at the bottom so you can multi-select across tabs (for example, a BrandDNA logo plus an Unsplash background) and insert them together.
Step-by-step: insert from the library
- Open the Insert Image modal from Studio, publish, or another supported surface.
- Use the rail to open Collections, Products, or Logos.
- Search or browse. On Logos, look for the BrandDNA chip when you want logos pulled from BrandDNA.
- Click items to add them to the selection tray.
- Optionally switch to Unsplash or Upload and add more items to the same tray.
- Confirm insert. Everything in the tray inserts together.
Mobile notes
On phone layouts, the insert modal goes full-screen with a compressed toolbar. Tap-to-detach Added badges help you manage the tray, and the footer stays pinned while the grid scrolls.
Pro tips
- Prefer BrandDNA logos from the Logos tab when you need on-brand marks — do not re-upload the same logo each time.
- Use Unsplash for supporting imagery; keep hero creative from Studio or owned brand assets.
- Multi-select in the tray before inserting so you are not opening the modal repeatedly for one composition.
