The redesigned File Manager gives you one place to find, review, and organize every asset your team creates in MorningAI. Use it to search across files, browse folders, switch between layouts, and narrow a large library by content type.
Why the File Manager Matters
Your workspace can grow quickly as your team generates images, videos, documents, social posts, agent outputs, and folders. The new File Manager keeps that work usable with search, filters, sorting, folder navigation, and saved views in one cleaner workspace.
Step-by-Step Walkthrough
- Open Files. From the sidebar, open Files to view your workspace library.
- Search faster. Use the toolbar search bar, or press Command K to jump into search. Results update after you pause typing, which keeps long libraries responsive.
- Filter by content type. Use the pills across the top, including Images, Video, Agents, Social Media, Docs, and Folders. Each pill shows a live count.
- Add detailed filters. Click Add Filter to stack conditions, such as files created in a recent time period.
- Choose the right view. Switch between Details, Compact, Grid, and Gallery depending on whether you need metadata, density, preview cards, or a visual review surface.
- Browse folders with context. Use breadcrumbs to move through folder paths, and use sidebar shortcuts for Recents, Favorites, and Shared.
Real-World Use Cases
Creative review. Use Gallery view to scan generated images or videos before choosing what goes into a campaign.
Weekly organization. Sort by recent activity, move files into campaign folders, and favorite assets you will reuse.
Pro Tips
- Use content-type pills first, then add filters only when the result set is still too broad.
- Use Details view when you need timestamps or file context, and Gallery view when visual quality is the main decision.
- Check the storage indicator in the sidebar before large campaign uploads.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does MorningAI remember my preferred view? Yes. MorningAI remembers your selected view between visits.
Can I still organize files with folders? Yes. You can create folders, browse inside them, use breadcrumbs, and drag files into the right location.

Smarter Search and Quality-of-Life Updates (July 2026)
Search in the File Manager and the image-insert picker is now smarter, and previous results dim during a refetch instead of flashing a full-screen loader.
- Actionable empty states. Empty views now offer the next step in place — a clickable upload card in Uploads, and create, upload, or navigate actions in Favorites, Recents, search results, and empty folders.
- Bulk Recover. In Recently Deleted, the selection bar and multi-select menu now offer Recover, so you can restore many files at once.
- Teammate suggestions. Share modals suggest your brand's teammates as you type, with an avatar, name, and email typeahead.
- Image-insert picker upgrades. A Favorites tab with filters, a Video tab where video is available, and support for larger uploads.
- Sticky selection bar. The selection action bar stays pinned to the top of the scroll area while you work through long lists.
The File Manager also gained Shared Drives for team collaboration — see How to Use Shared Drives for Team Collaboration →
Bulk Download and Reliability Fixes (Late July 2026)
You can now multi-select files and folders and download them as one job. Choose Download from the selection bar or the right-click menu in any view — a progress toast shows while the archive is prepared, and a download ready notification appears when it's complete.
A batch of reliability fixes shipped alongside: keyboard navigation, previews for Studio file types, the Recently Deleted view, video uploads, and copy/paste all work correctly again.
